THE country’s national power
grid and the biggest electricity distributor said they would exhaust
all legal remedies to halt the decommissioning of a transmission
facility in an upscale neighborhood in Makati after the Supreme
Court ordered its dismantling.
In a joint briefing, officials of
National Transmission Corp. (TransCo) and Manila Electric Co. (Meralco)
said they have filed separate petitions before courts to prevent the
dismantling of the 230-kilovolt Sucat-Araneta-Balintawak line.
