Paula Taylor’s Next Race

By Paulina De la Flor

From Reality TV Star to Real Fashionista:
Paula Taylor personifies the essence of
Plains & Prints with her fresh beauty,
fun personality and her cosmopolitan
sense of style.

We first fell in love with her on the hit television series The Amazing Race Asia. From the widely followed competition’s second season, thousands of fans endeared themselves to the Thai-British model as she battled it out, brains and brawn, with other contenders from the region.

While she didn’t bag the top prize in the Race, the challenge has opened up a world of opportunities for the beautiful 25-year-old. With a new agenda on her plate and living life in the fast-lane, Paula Taylor now has her eyes set on conquering the local fashion scene!

Top Philippine fashion brand Plains & Prints has signed up the international model, actress and VJ Paula Taylor as its newest image model. She was formally introduced as the new face of Plains & Prints during the launch of the brand’s newest collection which was designed in collaboration with top fashion designer Rajo Laurel under its R.A.F. (Rich And Famous) line.

R.A.F. is the fashion brand’s high-end collection featuring fresh, creative and highly stylish creations from top Filipino designers. While many of us know Paula for racing about Asia, a challenge that was grueling and anything but glamorous, with her new endorsement for Plains & Prints, we can expect that fresh-faced Paula will become a familiar face in the chic style set as well as a whole new group of fans.

“Paula Taylor truly personifies the essence of Plains & Prints with her fresh beauty, fun personality and her cosmopolitan sense of style,” said Roxanne Farillas, owner of Plains & Prints.

As Plains & Prints’ newest muse, Paula will be wearing the new R.A.F. Collection of Rajo Laurel, which features classic pieces integrated with the top fashion designer’s edgy, avant-garde style. The collection highlights romance and luxury, revealing the evolution of Rajo’s design sensibilities inspired by the women in his life.

Plains & Prints introduced this new collection at its newest store at the Fifth Level of the Shangri-La Plaza Mall and is now available in all its over 40 stores nationwide.

Established in 1994, Plains & Prints has captured the simplicity and elegance of Filipinas through its stylish classic pieces. The fashion brand started by manufacturing lace-edged towels and basic polos, then ventured into women’s apparel still carrying that classic, elegant concept to fashion. The concept instantly became a hit among teens and young career women who found the perfect brand to complement their ever-changing fashion sense.

Since first being introduced in the country, Paula has now become one of the hottest faces on TV today, appearing in several local shows and starring in her first Philippine television commercial.

Before gaining popularity in Asia’s The Amazing Race, Paula was already known in Thailand as a top commercial and print ad model. She has also appeared in several Thai movies and became even more famous when she was chosen to become a VJ for Channel [V] Thailand.

Now as she makes her mark in the circles of the Philippine fashion scene, it’s a definite race to the top! Paula Taylor’s fans can expect more “Amazing” things from this brilliant young lady, that’s for sure!
