Ombudsman charges mayor for ‘ghost projects’ |

Graft court indicts former town executive of Capas in
Tarlac and five others for misuse of public funds
|

A provincial mayor in Tarlac was indicted before the
Sandiganbayan for criminal charges, including graft and corruption,
for his alleged misuse of funds and for having “ghost projects”
which were funded by the “pork barrel” of a lawmaker from their
province.
Ombudsman Ma. Merceditas Navarro-Gutierrez on
Friday charged in court the former Mayor of Capas, Tarlac and five
others for the misuse of then Rep. Herminio Aquino’s Municipal
Development Fund (MDF) and Countrywide Development Fund (CDF).
