Appleton rules World 10-Ball tourney

EUROPE continued its domination of pool as Darren Appleton of England topped the World Ten Ball Championship on Sunday at the Philippine International Convention Center.

The Englishman came out firing against double world champion Wu Chia-ching of Chinese Taipei en route to a 13-11 victory.

It was the fourth straight world pool title won by a European player following the victories of Daryl Peach of England in 9-ball, Ralf Souquet of Germany in 8-ball and Niels Feijen of the Netherlands in straight pool.
