The shooting of three young people by Claudio Teehankee Jr. in 1991 at Dasmariñas Village was said to have started from a road altercation. The cause was flimsy, but the murderous rage that followed shocked the nation.

Teehankee, a son of the former Supreme Court chief justice, confronted the victims who were parked in a lonely road in the upscale village. According to police and court records, he shot Roland John Chapman, Maureen Hultman and Jussi Leino. Chapman died on the spot. Leino was hit on the jaw, but survived. Hultman died two months later. The Makati regional court sentenced Teehankee to reclusion perpetua or 20 years to 40 years in jail.
