Nueva Ecija to increase production of carabao milk |

Governor Umali supports the project that aims to make
the province the dairy capital of the country

PALAYAN CITY: Credited for its role in cushioning the impact of
the rice price controversy with its high palay production, Nueva
Ecija is now geared toward softening the country’s dependence on
imported milk.
In the light of melamine scare, Gov. Aurelio
Umali asked on Thursday the provincial agriculture and veterinary
offices to consolidate efforts in order to enhance milk production
in the province to at least cater to the needs of the townsfolk.
