Informed choice
THE core of the Reproductive Health Bill No.
5043 is informed choice.
Yet none of the arguments for or against it
that I’ve seen or heard dealt in an objective way with the
different methods of birth control.
The exchange—heated for the most part—was
limited to social theory, theology, and morality.
There are three methods of birth control:
contraception (natural and artificial), abortion and sterilization.
The Bill does not promote abortion.
Reasons for birth control
Humans, unlike other animals, copulate more
often than is necessary to reproduce. Hence, it’s reasonable to
separate sex from childbearing.
