No overpricing in
broadband deal – DOJ |

THERE was no overpricing in the
controversial $329-million National Broadband Network project that
was entered into by the Philippine government with China’s ZTE
Corp., according to a five-man Department of Justice panel of
investigators.
The panel even recommended that a
graft investigation be initiated by the Office of Ombudsman on
former House Speaker Jose de Venecia Jr. and his son Joey de Venecia
3rd, who was one of the whistleblowers on the alleged scandals that
tainted the broadband deal.
