ARMM assesses MILF war with military

With 1,822 houses, 8 mosques and 6 schools burned, there’s reason to declare humanitarian crisis in Muslim Mindanao

COTABATO CITY: The Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) through its Regional Disaster Coordinating Center (RDCC) on Sunday disclosed its assessment on the extent of total collateral damage of destroyed properties which were mostly burned to the ground as a result of the war between the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) and the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) that broke out on August 20.

Regional Director Armando Duque of the Office of Civil Defense based in Camp General Salipada Kuder Pendatun at Parang, Shariff Kabungsuan said he already transmitted his official assessment in a report submitted to ARMM Gov. Datu Zaldy Uy Ampatuan, who is also concurrently the chairman of RDCC in the autonomous region.
