‘Moneyed lobby’ blamed for billboard accident

Sen. Miriam Defensor Santiago said Tuesday that the billboard accident along EDSA would not have happened had the House not succumbed to a “moneyed lobby” against her bill regulating the construction of billboards.

The collapse of three giant billboards at Liberty Avenue corner EDSA, Quezon City on Monday from strong winds injured 5 people and damaged properties.
