Singapore: Motor Image (MI), the distributor of Subaru vehicles in
several Asian countries, said its Motor Image Subaru Academy
Training Center has been certified by Fuji Heavy Industries (FHI)—the
Japan-based manufacturer of Subaru automobiles—as an official
Subaru training center for the region. It counts Thailand,
Indonesia, Hong Kong, the Philippines, Taiwan, Malaysia and China as
its interests.
Located at the Subaru Hub, the Motor Image
Subaru Academy Training Center will further see the Subaru
technical, sales and service staff undergo training that complies
with Subaru Training Standards set by FHI, MI said.
It added the Motor Image Subaru Academy Training
Center is one of the three official Subaru training centers that
will be established outside of Japan, with the other two located in
China and Belgium. The Motor Image Subaru Academy Training Center
will adopt training programs designed by FHI and their main purpose
is to strengthen the sales efficiency of the Subaru group by
providing trainees opportunities to improve their skills and
capabilities in order to provide top quality customer service,
according to MI.
“The certification of Motor Image Academy as
an extension of Subaru Academy will certainly elevate the level of
our technical expertise and raise the standard of customer
service,” said MI Group Chief Executive Glenn Tan. “We are
currently the first distributor in the world to be certified. It is
a good morale-booster for the Motor Image team as the certification
is a testament to the distinct quality of the academy’s standards
of technical training, capabilities and expertise provided over the
years,” he said.
MI is the principal company of Motor Image
Pilipinas (MIP), the exclusive distributor of Subaru automobiles in
the Philippines. MIP’s model lineup is made up of the Tribeca,
Outback 3.0R, Legacy 2.0 R, Impreza 2.0R Sport, 2.5 Turbo WRX and
2.5 Turbo WRX STI as well as the recently introduced new Forester
2.0X and 2.5 Turbo XT. For more information, log on to
