Japan approves JPEPA exchange of notes |

Sen. Miriam Defensor Santiago said Tuesday that all
constitutional and legal questions on the Japan-Philippine Economic
Partnership Agreement (JPEPA) have been resolved with the approval
of the exchange of notes between the two countries.
Santiago, chairman of the Senate Committee on
Foreign Relations, gave every senator a copy of the exchange of
notes between Philippine Foreign Affairs Secretary Alberto Romulo
and Japanese Foreign Minister Masahiko Koumoura. The note was dated
August 28 but Santiago said she received a copy only last Monday.
