Muslim NGO opposes move dissolving peace panel

Muslims now question the government’s motive saying it is not driven by a desire for peace in Mindanao

 
The Philippine Council for Islam and Democracy (PCID) expressed its opposition to the reported dissolution of the peace panel negotiating with the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) in a statement on Wednesday

Government said the decision to dissolve the peace panel is “consistent with the President’s new policy of no longer talking with armed groups but authentic dialogues with communities.”
