Lenovo is one of these companies as it recently introduced the newest SL Series of Thinkpad notebooks.

The SL Series, comprising of models SL300, SL400, and the SL500, is designed in a glossy black top cover for a professional business look. The models come in the following 13.3-inch, 14.1-inch, and 15.4-inch screens, respectively. More than looks, it is powered by the latest Intel Centrino 2 processor technology and is equipped with an Integrated Intel GMA 4500MHD or NVIDIA GeForce 9300, depending on the model.

The series is also equipped with connectivity features such as WiFi, Ethernet, FireWire, USB 2.0 ports, and optional Bluetooth.

The series also features an optional Blu-Ray DVD player as well as an HDMI/VGA support so users can watch high-definition movies.

Lenovo has also added hardware protection features such as its Active Protection System, an airbag like system that protects the hard drive at the very moment it gets dropped, and an optional fingerprint reader.

Furthermore, the company has also introduced ThinkPlus Secure Business, which provides custom service packages that consists of on-site next-day business warranty upgrade, ThinkPad protection for repairs or replacements in case of liquid spills, drops or electrical surges, and online data back for off-site storage solution.

The SL Series will be available this month, said Lenovo officials.
