Landslide death toll rises

President extends condolences to families affected and has directed concerned agencies to make sure assistance reaches the victims

THE death toll on the landslide incidents in Compostela Valley has increased to 10, while 24 were injured and 13 missing based on the report of the Office of Civil Defense in Region 11.

But unconfirmed reports stated that there are already 14 fatalities whose identities are yet to be determined.

Antonio Cloma, operations officer of the OCD-Region 11 said the latest fatality was identified as Jovencio Anguera, Barangay Captain and among those earlier reported missing.
