5 CA justices found guilty

Magistrates committed improprieties – panel

With facts on hand that five of the eight justices of the Court of Appeals really did commit acts of impropriety in connection with the controversial Meralco-GSIS case, the Supreme Court en banc will deliberate today on possible penalties against the five justices.

The Supreme Court spokesman, lawyer Jose Midas Marquez, said on Monday that the penalties may range from “simple admonition to dismissal or suspension or fine” depending on the gravity of the malfeasance or misfeasance by the five justices.
