2008 is not so bad for Federer
|
|
NEW YORK: Britain’s Andy Murray walked up to the
net to congratulate Roger Federer on beating him to capture his
fifth US Open title in a row and 13th Grand Slam title and said what
was in his heart.
“I said I agreed with everyone
that he has had a terrible year,” Murray deadpanned to howls of
laughter at a post-match news conference.
Yes, he was joking. So what did
Murray really say after being on the bad end of Federer’s 6-2,
7-5, 6-2 drubbing?
