White has always been a symbol of things innocent and pristine.
Ditas Sandico-Ong’s new collection called “Whites” captures
that essence of purity in silhouettes that are rich in classic and
crisp lines.
But Sandico-Ong goes further to capture another
aspect of white—that of strength. Taking inspiration from the
legendary tale of the Roman vestal virgins and mixing in our own
centuries-old abel iloko traditional art, Sandico-Ong created and
crafted cotton and linen fabric so fragile and yet so sturdy to form
light airy dresses.
