Crisis committee takes over search for victims |

kidnapping victims in Basilan

SEARCH and rescue operation being conducted by authorities to
rescue two remaining aid workers were suspended in order to give way
to the crisis management committee in Basilan, a military spokesman
said Wednesday.
At the same time, Philippine Navy Spokesman
Edgard Arevalo said government troops in the area have shifted to
intensify monitoring and intelligence gathering of the movements of
suspected kidnappers earlier identified as the Abu Sayyaf group
under Puruji Indama and Nur Hassan Jamiri.
