FROM pioneering the hotel-like ambiance in hospitals, Asian Hospital
and Medical Center introduces another first in the country
integrating the concept of beauty and wellness as one of its top
services.
In a cocktail party recently held at the
hospital’s lobby, Asian Hospital and Medical Center executives and
staff gathered together to introduce this pioneering concept, which
is part of Asian Hospital’s vision to strengthen its position as a
center for holistic and integrated healthcare.
To celebrate the launch of the new concept,
Asian Hospital held its first beauty and healty lay forum dubbed
“Asian Beauty and Health Secrets Revealed,” which was geared at
raising people’s awareness on the importance of beauty and
wellness despite a busy lifestyle. This also instills the new
concept of hospitals as not only a place for healing, but more
importantly, for achieving rejuvenation and total wellbeing.
At the three-day beauty and health forum,
participants learned about current procedures on physical
enhancement and the safety issues surrounding them, the importance
of nutrition, sleep and exercise for a healthy well-being, the
latest trends in eye care, and sports rehabilitation.
Complementing the integration of lifestyle
medicine in the local healthcare industry, Asian Hospital also
launched the new additions to the hospital: Newest facilities such
as the Sleep Laboratory, which provides treatments geared toward
reducing socially unacceptable snoring to treatment of obstructive
sleep apnea; and Golf Performance and Sports Rehabilitation Center,
the first of its kind in the country to be offered in a hospital
providing golf-specific physical training. Also introduced was the
Executive Health Screening Program, a customized health and
lifestyle screening program designed to help individuals adopt a
healthy lifestyle and make informed decisions to achieve a lifetime
of fitness and wellness.
Welcoming the guests were Asian Hospital’s new
chief executive officer Theo Seiler, new marketing director Jun
Amistoso; and founding chairman Dr. Jorge Garcia.
The new facilities and services are part of
Asian Hospital and Medical Center’s expansion plans this year,
aimed at extending better mmedical services to patients here and
abroad.
