Food bureau to test
soya, tofu for melamine |
|
Bureau says lack of personnel snags testing of China-made food
products alone
It said it is undermanned but added that the testing of possibly
tainted food products will have to go on.
Meanwhile, the Bureau of Food and Drugs (BFAD)
on Saturday said it will subject soya and tofu to tests to determine
if they also have risky levels of melamine, which were found in a
number of milk products coming from China.
