US troops not unruly, US Ambassador assures

The American soldiers were given strict instructions to perform their best in Balikatan Exercises

United States Ambassador to the Philippines Kristie Kenney has assured that the American soldiers of the Balikatan Exercises are not committing any misconduct. Kenney said that the American troops were given strict instructions to perform their duties such as building schools, digging wells and providing medical assistance, among others.

The ambassador was reacting to reports that eight to 10 prostitutes are being brought to US soldiers nightly in Legazpi, Albay—one of the venues of the Balikatan Exercises set to begin on April 16.
