Asking the million dollar question

‘Slumdog Millionaire’

What is the true measurement of wealth? Is it (a) a cash prize of 20 million rupees, (b) a life of power and security in the core of a changing world, (c) a vast amount of knowledge or (d) a destiny that leads you to your one true love? This was the question beautifully phrased by Danny Boyle’s unforgettable opus, Slumdog Millionaire.

Set in India, the film revolves around the life of a young man named Jamal Malik (Dev Patel). A former street child, Malik joined the Indian version of Who Wants to be a Millionaire? (Kaun Banega Crorepati). But before he could answer the last question that would ultimately make him 20 million rupees richer, the show ends leaving it scheduled for the next day.
