Maguindanao plebiscite a success, says Comelec |

Residents flock to polling precincts to show approval
of the creation of three new towns in Second District

SHARIFF AGUAK, Maguindanao: The Commission on Elections (Comelec)
has declared the plebiscite in Maguindanao conducted on Thursday for
the creation of three new towns as peaceful and orderly.
Estrellita Orbase, acting election supervisor of
Maguindanao, said the plebiscite was conducted to determine the
acceptability among local residents of the creation of the three
towns that were carved out of four chartered towns in the Second
Congressional District of Maguindanao.
