Farewell, Cory |

The Filipino nation lost in the early hours of Saturday its beloved
icon of democracy and former President Corazon “Cory” Aquino,
who was battling stage 4 colon cancer for more than a year.
Aquino’s son, Sen. Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino
3rd, confirmed Saturday morning their mother died at about 3:18 a.m.
at the age of 76 because of complications from her illness. Her
family was at her bedside at the time of her death at a private
hospital in Makati City.
