Marcoses visit Cory’s wake

Palace also reaches out to Kris, Noynoy

 
A son and a daughter of late former President Ferdinand Marcos surprised many on Tuesday by attending the wake of former President Corazon “Cory” Aquino at the Manila Cathedral in Intramuros, Manila.

Drawing on a tradition in the Asian Roman Catholic nation of setting aside rivalry on the occasion of death, Marcos’ son and Rep. Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. of Ilocos Norte province and elder sister and former Rep. Imee Marcos also of the province made their surprise arrival at the wake around 2:30 p.m.
