‘August Moon’ plot folds

Cory’s death ‘wakeup call’ for plotters

 
In life she defeated a dictator. And now in death, it seems the late former President Corazon “Cory” Aquino represents a fear factor to the plotters hatching the so-called plan August Moon.

After seeing the outpouring of support for Aquino, a former president who was buried last week, the people reportedly behind a move to ensure President Gloria Arroyo remained in power beyond the end of her term in 2010 have reportedly aborted that plan. It was dubbed “August Moon,” which was to kick off this month and culminate in October.
