Peace talks with MILF to begin in October

Barring any disagreements, the pending peace talks between the government and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) will resume by October, an official said Monday.

Rafael Seguis, chairman of the government peace panel, announced that they and members of the separatist group MILF were set to meet in Kuala Lumpur on August 20 to iron out the kinks in the proposals made by both sides with regard to the peace process framework.
