Iran humbles RP for the 2nd time

POWERADE-Team Pilipinas made a total of 16 triples but that was not enough to beat defending champion Iran who humbled the Filipino squad, 88-78, on Tuesday in the preliminary round’s penultimate day of the 25th FIBA Asia Men’s Championship in Tianjin, China.

What was more heartbreaking was the Filipino’s shooting in the free throw line, where they missed badly, hitting only two of four trips compared to the 23 conversions from 30 attempts made by the much taller Iranians.
