Alternatives to Laiban proposed–Maynilad

HONG KONG: Investor groups have proposed two alternatives to the controversial Laiban dam project, according to the concessionaire of state-run Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System’s (MWSS) West zone.

Rogelio Singson, Maynilad Water Services Inc. president, said alternative sources of water for Metro Manila include the Wawa dam in Rizal province, and the mountain ranges of the Sierra Madre.
