Suharto’s ex-convict son to run in Golkar chairmanship election

 
JAKARTA: The youngest son of Indonesia’s former President Suharto, Hutomo Mandala Putra, popularly known as Tommy Suharto, declared Tuesday his plan to run in the Golkar party’s chairmanship election.

Speaking in a press conference here, Tommy said that his can­didacy to run in the election is aimed at preserving his father’s political views.
