Palace sees peace pact before GMA term ends

Peace talks with the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) will continue, presidential adviser on the peace process Avelino Razon told The Manila Times, even after the Muslim rebel group admitted ambushing government soldiers in Basilan two weeks ago.

Razon said the government still believed in the sincerity of the central leadership of the MILF despite the involvement of some of its troops in the clashes in which 23 government soldiers were killed and 26 others were wounded.
