66 Muslim rebels surrender to Army

Muslim, Christian and highland communities want representation in peace talks

COTABATO CITY: At least 66 Muslim guerrillas of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) in Lanao del Sur surrendered to the military over the weekend, an Army spokesman said Monday.

Major Randolph Cabangbang, regional military spokesman, said the returnees operating gave up their struggle for self-determination and vowed to help the peace and development program in the region.
