Economic crunch will affect SSS funds – Neri |
|
THE Social Security System (SSS) is expecting decreased
contributions from its members but will go ahead and contribute its
P12.5-billion share in a P100-billion pot for a stimulus package of
expenditures the Arroyo administration is organizing to strengthen
the economy against joblessness, diminished exports and economic due
to the global downturn.
“If people lose jobs, fewer workers will
contribute,” SSS President Romulo Neri told ABS-CBN network’s
radio DZMM. “Funds from members’ contributions may be
affected.”
