The nation needs Among Ed’s victory
|
|
The inclusion of Gov. Eddie “Among Ed” Panlilio of Pampanga on
the list of possible presidential candidates in 2010 mostly likely
sent scores of provincial politicians into fits of unexplainable
rage. He has wisely announced that he is not interested in any
national office and that he would rather go back to being a priest.
They have thrown every piece of garbage in the
direction of the suspended-priest/governor, every hurdle and every
roadblock to make his administration fail. A campaign of
vilification started from Day One of the Panlilio governorship,
quietly and covertly at first and then openly and oozing with venom.

Time for price
control may have arrived
|
|
It is very hard for Energy Secretary Angelo Reyes to go after the
hoarders of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) because our laws are not
oriented to serving the public. For instance, we do not have price
control. And yet we complain when LPG traders hide their products
and to increase their prices when the shortage is felt.
