Human rights issue looms in QC shooting

Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Director General Jesus Verzosa has ordered a full-dressed investigation of what appeared in a television footage to be a pointblank shooting of suspected car thieves by police operatives in Quezon City on Tuesday.

ABS-CBN aired the footage Thursday of what it said was heavily armed policemen apparently gunning down three car thieves who had already been cornered and subdued.
