Ombudsman charges veterans 
fund officers with corruption


THE Office of the Ombudsman on Thursday charged ranking officials of the Philippine Veterans Affairs Office (PVAO) of graft and corruption for employing the kiting system to defraud the government of more than P43 million.

Assistant Ombudsman Mark Jalandoni said a formal preliminary investigation of the case is under way.
