Rigging the economy
|
|
THE World Bank move to blacklist Philippine firms involved in a
rigged road project financed by the Washington-based lender is
crying for similar action by the government.
Last week, the World Bank announced that it
would bar from future projects seven companies, including three
local contractors, for acting as a cartel that rigged the bidding
for the National Road Improvement and Management Project (NRIMP).
