Liquid fertilizer hugely overpriced–supplier
|
|
Some P152.77 million passed through a bank account meant as
repository for commissions earned from the P728-million
fertilizer-fund scam, an apparently conscience-stricken official of
Feshan Philippines on Tuesday told the Senate blue-ribbon committee
headed by Sen. Richard Gordon.
Julie Gregorio, president of Feshan that
supplied liquid fertilizer to the Department of Agriculture, said
her company charged only P150 for each bottle of liquid fertilizer
but was sold as high as P1,500 by the department in 2004. Feshan
supplied 90,000 bottles to the government.
