WASHINGTON, D.C.: The US Food and Drug Administration on Wednesday
said it has recalled at least 125 products in connection with the
salmonella outbreak. The FDA said the products included cookies, ice
cream and pet food that contained peanut paste or peanut butter made
at a factory located in Georgia and owned by the Peanut Corporation
of America. The FDA confirmed the presence of salmonella at the PCA
factory. The factory sells its products to more than 70 institutions
and food companies, but not to individual consumers.
