Snuffing the life out of the economy
|
|
THE Board of Investments (BOI) is taking the crisis argument too far
when it said it would fast track the 2009 Investment Priorities Plan
(IPP). Either that or it had been taking its sweet time in the past
to approve the annual list of businesses that merit tax and other
perks.
If the second, then we’d end this piece right
now by pointing out the agency’s gross inefficiency and moving for
its overhaul posthaste. But assuming it was the first, then the
agency’s haste still raises red flags.
