Creating a  better future to help others

In a world full of illnesses and poverty, curing the sick is one of the most expensive things in the world. And besides the financial drain a family can experience, the emotional burden they endure is even a bigger pain. Juris Umali-Soliman, president of the First Gentleman Foundation, Inc. (FG Foundation), is one who witnesses such things and goes all out of her way to help those in need. FG Foundation primarily deals with medical assistance but it also caters to out of school youth, addresses global warming, advocates sports development, and provides legal and disaster assistance.

Soliman has always been someone who stands for what is right. “You don’t pay goodness. It feels good to help,” she declares. She joined rallies against Martial Law in the 1970s while she was studying in St. Scholastica as one of the student leaders without her family knowing. She was very passionate in what she believed.
