Kings dump depleted Beermen for 2-1 lead

DEFENDING champion Ginebra Kings banked on a fourth quarter blazing run to pull off a 116-103 win over San Miguel Beer.

Fighting for the Philippine Basketball Association-Motolite Fiesta Conference Cup, David Noel, Erik Menk and Jay-Jay Helterbrand conspired in a big fourth quarter rally by outscoring the Beermen 18-7 that saw the Kings surge to 96-85 from a 78-78 tie at the end of the third period. The Kings now lead the best of-seven series 2-1.
