BB Gandanghari on God and her ‘inner child’

BB Gandanghari is one controversial celebrity. She sure knows how to split a jury. There are those who are outright admirers, those who think she’s one big joke, those who think she’s in it for the attention, those who simply can’t figure it out and a few who think she’s just being who she is—no matter how unusual—and is absolutely loving every minute of it.

She’s made the cover of S Magazine and also appears as an alternate cover (tucked in the inner pages) in April’s issue of Maxim. After that, she joined a Santacruzan in Malabon as the Reyna Elena. She’s been the object of fascination, conversation and criticism ever since she came out on national television on January 15, fresh from a transformative New York sojourn, wearing a scarf wrapped around her hair and sunglasses reminiscent of style icon Grace Kelly—proclaiming “Rustom is dead.”
