Palace set to negotiate 
with communist, Muslim rebels

The government on Wednesday said it is ready to revive the collapsed peace talks with communist and Muslim insurgents following the spate of bombings and fighting in the troubled region of Mindanao.

Norway is to host the talks with the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) at a still unspecified date, Executive Secretary Eduardo Ermita said.
