It’s a go for poll automation

Comelec, bidder sign contract despite injunction plea with SC

It’s all systems go for the country’s first fully automated elections in 2010.

The Commission on Elections (Co­melec) on Friday signed the multi­billion-poll automation contract with the winning bidder Smartmatic and Total Information Management (TIM) exactly one month after the project was awarded to the joint venture.
