No evacuation at Mount Mayon |
|

LEGAZPI CITY: The provincial government of Albay will not force the
evacuation of more than 6,000 people in Mount Mayon’s
six-kilometer permanent danger zone despite its status at alert
level 2.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and
Seismology (Phivolcs) on Thursday announced that any human activity
at Mount Mayon high-risk area was banned. The said area has long
been declared as “no-man’s land.”
