Moody’s RP-rating upgrade and taxes

Rejoice. Moody’s Investor Services, one in the triumvirate of the world’s foremost credit-rating agencies, has upgraded our country by a notch. The rating is now Ba3. It had been B1 since February 2005. “Stable” is the outlook on the ratings. This means Moody’s will not change this rating earlier than 12 months from now.

This is the first Moody’s upgrade of the Philippines in 12 years.
