Healthy, delicious dining with malunggay leaves
|

Time and again, our grandmas and nanays have
told us that malunggay leaves are good for blood circulation and
helps in producing milk for lactating mothers. Take the case of my
mother. Believing I was anemic during my growing up years (because I
looked pale), she would concoct delicious meals for the family:
malunggay soup, ginisang monggo with malunggay leaves and ginataang
malunggay leaves with fish (tuna, yellow fin, tambacol, or tulingan
fish variety). Indeed my mother was right! Those foods were tasty
and nutritious hence I grew up enjoying dishes with malunggay
leaves.
