JPE seeks mass action versus abusive telcos |
|

Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile called Tuesday on all consumers
with “disappearing” pre-paid loads in their cell phones to lodge
their complaints in his office so the Senate could draft remedial
legislation to protect them. Enrile said in a privileged speech that
the day after newspapers came out with a report on his disappearing
prepaid load, he received a “flood of calls and texts” from
alleged victims of the same thing.

Anti-Dynasty bill gets Senate panel endorsement,
puts 12 lawmakers on notice

The bill prohibiting the establishment of political dynasties in the
country has been passed at the committee level in the Senate without
any amendment and endorsed for plenary deliberations.
